The deep clay and sandy terroir of our Corchaug Estate Vineyard is the source of the this rich ruby-colored Merlot. Our vines, planted in 1997, are always sustainably farmed and hand-harvested to ensure only the best fruit is used in our wines. Aged in the finest French oak for 18 months to complement but never over-power the varietal expression. As you sip this Merlot intense plummy flavors of blackberries and blueberries wash over your pallette with a velvet like softness leaving the ripe tannins to linger. Fruit forward and medium bodied, this Merlot is fantastic on its own or a great compliment to one of our Charolais steaks.
